it's a crooked world but i hope you can still find reasons to love it.
Abandoning
The old world
this month, i'm beginning an experiment where i livestream everyday. you can see all of my livestreams here.

slow down, i love you
i don't want to hide

any single artifact can be generated now, but time itself can't

do not numb yourself
we were here!
find it in what cannot be imitated

the only reason why we consider anyone or anything great is because the ordinary person is scared to death even thinking about what those people have had to sacrifice to accomplish what they've accomplished. we constrain ourselves and our minds as if we are in an asylum with a proverbial straitjacket on, to the point where when someone walks around freely we perceive that as greatness. greatness only exists because there is mediocrity.
just go for the long haul. just sink into it. abandon everything else.

“The word essay derives from the French infinitive essayer, "to try" or "to attempt". In English essay first meant "a trial" or "an attempt", and this is still an alternative meaning. The Frenchman Michel de Montaigne (1533–1592) was the first author to describe his work as essays; he used the term to characterize these as "attempts" to put his thoughts into writing.”

we are the last generation that got to experience the world before ai.

don't prop up your shortcomings with wallow

if i pay attention to the world for one minute everyday, maybe i can see differently
the good times are now
i want something to look back on
at the end we are all human,

today i begin a durational performance and will continue until death. every day, i will film at least one minute of my life. this is part of a test as to what human beings are capable of: whether i can commit to one act for the rest of my life, and what years of it will do to my mind, body, and spirit. i hope to record and share the world as i see it, and that it is helpful to the world in some way.

when i am unhappy about how someone behaves or how something unfolds, it is because deep down – i do not allow myself to behave that way. i do not allow myself to participate in that behaviour.

the greatest gift we can give to the world is to simply hold ourselves to a higher standard.

grateful for all of the love and presence in my life. grateful for all of the lessons and experience and daily fortune. grateful to be here and for the opportunities.
keep going!

stop running to wherever’s comfortable
the best stuff comes from questions
abandon the self

what inspires me is honest investigation of the world and uncovering the depths, documenting the stories, all of this impresses me far more than the bodies of work that are obsessed with trying to make something of oneself.

to abandon the self, to not take photos egotistically, to do it for the sake of memories, to document, to be somewhere at a certain point in time and to have a signature on that moment.
the biggest regret i have will be wasting so much time living in my own cage

it is so fucking incredibly hard to do something good

the edges are made up
it comes back to how your way of life gives others the permission to pursue their way of life

you will find your way in seeing all of the ways that don’t inspire you

i'm recovering from a week-long sickness. i really don't want to get sick, ever again.

it’s not so much that we have such ugly or terrible things to hide it’s that we slave ourselves to death hiding and deceiving, even convincing ourselves in the process
there are so many beautiful things in the world
i hope you can feel like yourself more often
i love being alive
there is nothing more ugly than something that is trying to convince you again and again of its beauty

today was the happiest i felt in such a long time.

never stop planting. no matter what you do, never stop planting.

change is a beautiful thing
am i being the human being i want to be?
Tommy is thinking with extra high effort...

i'd rather be icarus

what are you staking yourself on?
lean into your humanity
once you set the pace the rest will follow

i set out at the beginning of this month to challenge myself. in every regard. i really want to try harder at being something, anything other than whatever it is i currently am.
i'm craving a texture that tastes a little bit like progress but also tastes a little bittersweet, like eating the last few bites of something good.
i'm growing increasingly tired of everything that doesn't matter. and i'm learning that there is an abundance of everything that doesn't matter.
i'm grateful for everyone and everything that inspires me. this feeling, this feeling that the world is so much more grand, so much more beautiful, so much more meaningful, whilst still being full of change, full of good, full of evil, full.
i enjoy performance, but i'm grateful to have learned that it is not the end-all, be-all. there are worlds much deeper and richer below that. and that is good reason to protect your worldview, to protect your means of self-expression, to protect what feels honest to you, all while being open to change. the casualness of your environment can make you forget that your potential and the things you can create and see are endless.
